Who knows.
You may have movie sex scenesheard that many officials within President Donald Trump's circle have met with Russian officials over the past 12 months or so. Many of them seem to at first have difficulty recalling these meetings until they are asked about them again and again and are shown evidence of their own meetings, at which point they seem to vaguely recall maybe perhaps meeting someone who may or may not have been Russian-ish.
SEE ALSO: The Russian Embassy tweeted about U.S. relations and everyone is so lostSuch communications have already led to the resignation of Trump's initial national security advisor, Michael Flynn. They have now ensnared newly-appointed Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
The Russian government is thought to have favored Trump in the U.S. presidential election, and so Trump critics are asking what, exactly, did his aides have to talk about with Russian government officials?
It all seems like something one might refer to as a scandal, though the Russian embassy in the United Kingdom appears to think otherwise, as evinced by a J.K. Rowling-themed tweet it put out Friday.

O.K., so I get the "rock bottom" part. They're saying there's nothing to see with this Russia-Trump thing, how disgraceful of the media, end scene.
But the chosen quote seems like someone googled "rock bottom quote" and this was the first one that came up. Or maybe they just understand that folks in the west rabidly retweet J.K. Rowling? (For the uninitiated, she is the author of books about this kid wizard named Harry).
Is western media now supposed to rebuild its life? What would that look like? Is the hope that attaching a random J.K. Rowling quote to a tweet criticizing western media would spark virality and lead to an existential crisis among western reporters who would reconsider the abundant reporting about Trump World's Russia connections and perform an about-face?
Who knows.
